From October 15 to 17, experts from around the world gathered virtually for the 2nd International Urban Agenda Seminar 2024, a platform to rethink the sustainable development of future cities. Among the standout contributions, Dr. Santiago Caprio, professor at the Polytechnic University of Milan and coordinator of the Polismaker Lab in Italy, emphasized the importance of designing smart cities with a human-centered approach.

“Smart cities should not be limited to technological advancements; they must prioritize the quality of life of their residents and balance progress with social equity,” stated Caprio, one of UN-Habitat’s 31 international experts on human-centered smart cities.
