In an initiative dedicated to the preservation and respectful enjoyment of the natural marine ecosystem, we propose a series of improvements in the natural area under environmental protection. The main focus of this project is the renovation of hawksbill turtle nurseries, combining functionality with sustainability. These nurseries, built with wood and covered by a half-shade mesh, offer a favorable environment for the nesting and conservation of sea turtles.
Additionally, a naturalized contemporary bathroom built in concrete is introduced, ensuring minimal environmental impact. This design harmonizes with the environment, providing essential amenities without compromising the integrity of the ecosystem.
We highlight the inclusion of an innovative lounge area, built with bamboo, chopped cane and a minimal use of concrete for its isolation from the natural soil. This space not only serves as a meeting point, but also promotes environmental awareness and sustainability through its low-impact construction.
This project, supported by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MARN) of El Salvador, aligns with its mission to protect nesting habitats and promote education about the importance of conserving sea turtle species.
The renovated design of the hatcheries, with areas of soft and hard sand, not only supports the safe reproduction of sea turtles, but also provides a space for dialogue and the promotion of sustainable practices. These combined actions contribute significantly to the preservation of marine biodiversity, strengthening the mission of protecting and promoting the survival of sea turtles in the country.
